Cancellation policy

Last updated 23 September 2026

Short version: the activation fee is not refundable, you have thirty days to decide before anything else is charged, and thirty more to change your mind after that.

The activation fee

The activation fee you pay on the day you buy is not refundable. It covers the work of setting your app up — which we begin immediately — and that work is done whether or not you carry on.

The first thirty days

Your first thirty days are a test drive. Use the app with your committee and your family, exactly as you would if you had paid in full, and decide.

Cancel at any point in those thirty days and the balance is never charged. Not charged and refunded — never charged at all. You pay nothing beyond the activation fee.

Day 31 to day 60

On day 30 the balance for your plan is charged to the card you used at checkout. You agreed to this at the time of purchase, and it appears in writing above the Pay button.

If you cancel between day 31 and day 60, you can have that balance refunded. Ask us within that window and we will return it. The activation fee stays with us.

Day 61 onwards

From day 61 the balance is no longer refundable. Your app remains yours for the rest of its fifteen-month cycle — cancelling after this point stops future renewals, it does not claw back what has been paid.

When you ask
What happens
Days 1–30
The balance is never charged. You keep what you have paid in activation, and nothing further leaves your account.
Days 31–60
The balance has been charged and we refund it. The activation fee is not refunded.
Day 61 onwards
No refund. Your app runs to the end of its cycle and does not renew.

The Fundraiser App plan

The Fundraiser plan is an activation fee and nothing else — there is no balance, so there is nothing to charge on day 30 and nothing to refund later. The activation fee is not refundable.

Your family members' monthly subscriptions are separate and belong to them. Each member starts and stops their own from inside the app, at any time, without asking anybody. When a member cancels, that subscription simply stops; there is no refund of months already paid, and the money already sent to your reunion fund stays in your reunion fund.

How to cancel

Two ways, and either is fine:

The date you ask is the date that counts, not the date we get round to replying. We record it the moment you press the button and we send you a dated confirmation by email. Keep that email — it is your proof you asked in time.

If you are inside your first thirty days, the day-30 charge is switched off the instant you ask, before a person has even read it. We would rather stop a payment than take one and give it back.

You keep a gift from us

Cancelling does not leave you with nothing. Your activation fee buys you Planner Lite, and Planner Lite is yours to keep — free, for good, with no further charge ever. It includes Register & RSVP, the Schedule, your Committees, the Dues Ledger, Visit Detroit, Emergency Info and Rate the Reunion. The sections your old plan included simply grey out instead of disappearing, and everything you have already put into the app stays exactly where it is. If you ever want the full app switched back on, one call does it.

Two exceptions, so nobody is surprised. Families who paid in full and cancel after day 60 are not moved to Planner Lite — they bought the full fifteen months and they keep them. And the Fundraiser App plan is paid in full at activation, so it is not moved to Planner Lite either; cancelling stops the member subscriptions and the app stays as it is.

What happens to your information

Cancelling does not delete anything. Your photos, your directory, your schedule and your ledger stay exactly as they are, and your app stays open while we sort the cancellation out. If you want your data removed as well, say so and we will do it — but we will never do it silently as part of a cancellation, because families lose years of photographs that way.

If we cancel

We may close an account that is being used to break the law, to harass people, or in a way that puts other families' information at risk. In that case we will tell you why and refund any unused portion of the app fee.

Questions before you decide

If something is not working the way you expected, tell us before you cancel. We would far rather fix it. Call (947) 210-2102 and a person answers.
